Acting for Participation

Speaker Session
Caro Murphy
Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser

Orlando, Florida

The Talk

Interactive characters are an essential part of live experience; they can model how to play and engage with the world around us as well as be important vessels for storytelling. The skills to embody an interactive character do not come overnight, and can be incredibly different than other theatrical forms. In this talk, Caro will walk through both conceptual models and practical exercises for creating engaging, inviting interactive performances that place focus on the participant’s experience.
