Brett Jackson is an artist and experience designer of interactive attractions for folks like Disney, Netflix, Universal, Google, the United Nations and Meow Wolf. Always playful and comedic, Brett’s work promotes creativity and utopian solutions. He has applied the interactive arts to help stop poaching, combat misinformation, change international climate policy and train citizen activists to phone bank. Brett is honored to serve on the Themed Entertainment Association’s western division board of directors and is the chairperson for international events connecting all four global divisions. He also holds an MFA in game design from Parsons Design & Technology program if anyone’s checking that stuff.
Here in Los Angeles, Brett runs Imagi-Ne’er-Do-Wells – the kooky concepts club for creators of experience. We meet once a month to play at inventing a new attraction based on a surprise creative prompt and laugh with other weirdos as they attempt to do the same. Currently in an extended second residency at Two Bit Circus.
Mostly, Brett’s the founder of Live Action Attractions, providing creative strategy, design & direction for live games and experiences to the themed entertainment industry.

Luckily, we have secured a second, smaller block of rooms at Le St-Martin Hôtel & Suites. This is a 5-minute drive away from the RECON venue. If you missed out on the original room block, Le St-Martin Hôtel & Suites is our choice among the many hotels in the area. They are providing a special RECON rate of $209 CAD per night (plus taxes) that includes breakfast, wifi, and parking.

You can also call the Reservations Manager Kayla’s direct line (450) 902-3007 and mention the Room Escape Artist group. If you are looking to extend your stay longer than 3 days, call Kayla, and she will honor the group rate if possible, depending on the dates of your stay.
Note that even if you stay off-site, you can park at The Sheraton Laval Hotel for free.
